Visit the Laurel Woods trail and wonder at the the Pommie Doodle, a monumental 300" long by 50" deep cut in the hill for passage of the (now abandoned) Pennsylvania & Delaware Railroad, dug during the 1869-1873 construction of the Railroad. It includes the kiosk and road signs, boardwalk, and benches along Laurel Woods Trail. This Eagle project is by scouts from Troop 53, Octoraro District of the Chester County Council. The trailhead coordinates will take you to the Laurel Woods Trail kiosk. This is the third cache for the Chester County Council (CCC), celebrating our council's 100th anniversary! The Scouts (BSA) "Cache to Eagle" series is a National program to highlight past Eagle Scout projects.
